Lancaster Speedway Awaits SECA Late Model Stars

Coming off of 2 very competitive events in March, the next SRI Performance Bonus Race presented by RockAuto.com is officially on the horizon as SECA Late Model teams across the Carolinas and northeast Georgia look to mix it up as Lancaster Speedway is set to host a $2000 To Win showdown this Saturday night!

Back in March, Timbo Mangum captured Bonus Race #1 at Carolina Speedway’s Skyler Trull Memorial, while Trent Ivey rallied to score the win in Bonus Race #2 at Cherokee Speedway’s Bill Hendren Memorial. Lancaster is literally home for Mangum and there’s no doubt that the driver of the T1 Swartz is one of the early favorites this coming weekend However, the road to a 2nd Bonus Race victory will not be easy as several local drivers and traveling teams look to seize the opportunity as well. Dillon Brown has scored 2 wins in the past 3 weeks including a $1500 victory this past weekend and local favorite Brandy Baker is always a threat in late model action at the ultra fast 1/2 mile.

In addition to the $2000 payday, valuable Bonus Points are at stake as teams settle into the season and position themselves for a run at the 2017 South Eastern Crate Association Late Model Championship. Beginning with Saturday’s event at Lancaster, SECA Late Model teams have a busy schedule immediately ahead of them that includes multiple special event shows at weekly sanctioned tracks and a return to The Dirt Track @ Charlotte on May 26th for the 2017 Outlaw Showdown!

Teams are reminded that the Hoosier HTS 1600 is mandatory on the Right Rear for this event. Stay tuned to the Lancaster Speedway website and social media for specific event details, starting times, and schedule of events as we close the month of April with another blockbuster event.
