Blackburn's Tires From Friendship Do Not Meet Benchmark

At the conclusion of the August 13th SECA Crate Late Model main event at Friendship Speedway, a tire sample from competitor Steve Blackburn was taken by track officials. The sample was secured and delivered to an independently contracted laboratory for detailed analysis.

The results of that analysis are conclusive and those samples do not meet the benchmark set forth by the tire manufacturer. Therefore, in accordance with the 2016 SECA Crate Late Model Rulebook, Blackburn is disqualified from the August 13th SECA Crate Late Model event at Friendship Speedway and will face the penalties outlined in the SECA Crate Late Model Rulebook.

All other competitors originally finishing behind Blackburn will be moved up one spot accordingly. On behalf of SECA, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved for their cooperation and professionalism during this process.
