Sumter Speedway Ready To Host SECA Bonus Race

With several SECA teams looking to move up in the 2015 City Chevrolet Weekly Championship standings, this Saturday's SECA Bonus Race at Sumter Speedway will be just the place to earn those valuable championship points and also compete in a $2000 To Win / $200 To Start event.

Located between Columbia and the South Carolina coast, Sumter is one of SECA's newest member tracks. The David and Wanda Duke promoted facility continues to build its crate late model division and this weekend's Bonus Race is the next step in their efforts to provide SECA teams another exciting venue. Matt Lawson and Banjo Duke have set the bar so far this season at Sumter. Each driver has multiple wins and are more than prepared to defend their home turf against the invading competition.

Trent Ivey currently sits atop the SECA Weekly Championship Standings with Steve Banal and John Ruggerio still chasing the top spot. Hank Taylor picked up his first win this past weekend and Chris Cheek is steadily climbing as well thanks to his recent hot streak. Timbo Mangum, Grant Jordan, and Thomas Robinson remain in the mix as well.

All eyes are on the 3/8 mile Sumter Speedway this Saturday for the track's premier crate late model event of the season. Gates open at 4PM and the Drivers Meeting is scheduled for 7PM.
